Terms & Conditions

By visiting our site and / or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

  1. Gift vouchers: Gift vouchers are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase, are not redeemable for cash & are non refundable.

  2. Course, experience & expeditions terms:

    Wilderness Hammocking does not accept any participants under the age of 18. You can make changes or cancel your booking provided those changes are made more than 14 days prior to your course, experience or expedition date. Any later and no amount will be refunded. Please contact us by email on info@wildernesshammocking.com

    Wilderness Hammocking may need to cancel an event due to a met office red severe warning or another unavoidable issue. If this case we will offer a new date or a voucher.

    All participants must fill out our liability waiver prior to the start of any course, experience or expedition. If this is not filled out you will not be able to take part and no refund will be issued.

  3. Equipment / clothes rental: All rental sales are non-refundable within 14 days of the rental period, prior to this you are eligible for a 90% refund. The customer is responsible for the full cost of the rental item if lost or damaged. You are encouraged to inspect the item on arrival and must send a picture and description of the suspected damage prior to setting off on your adventure to info@wildernesshammocking.com. The cost of replacement for each rental item is listed below:

    • Hammock £50

    • Underblanket £150

    • Tarp £200

    • Marmot 8000m trousers £1,000

  4. Returns policy:

    For rental products, see above. For our purchased products; they are made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction. However, this means that these products are non refundable.

    For all purchased products any claims for damaged, defective or lost in transit goods should be submitted to info@wildernesshammocking.com within 20 days after the product has been received or estimated received date.

    The return address is written on the packaging information.

  5. Shipping & delivery policy:

    Rental products:

    Rental products will be delivered to arrive the day before your required rental date, please be mindful of possible delays to delivery to ensure you have the product ready for your adventure.

    Rental products will include a pre-paid returns packaging; please place the item into the packaging with your order number and name and drop-off at your nearest post office. You must return the package on or before the end of your rental period. If we receive the item after this date you will be charged an additional weeks rental, for every week not received an additional weeks rental will be charged.

    Purchased products:

    Our purchased products are made especially for you and therefore take a little longer to manufacture & be delivered. Once you have confirmed your order it may not be possible to edit or cancel the order. We cannot guarantee delivery dates as this is provided by a third party and are all estimates. The logistics provider will attempt 3 deliveries; if unsuccessful on all occasions it will be returned to our facility and you must pay an additional £3.29 for redelivery of each item.

  6. General

    Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

    We do not warrant that the quality of any products, Services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected. We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order.

  7. Third parties

    Certain content, products and Services available via our Service may include materials from third-parties. Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or Services of third-parties. We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, Services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third-party's policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.

  8. Personal information

  9. Release

    You can’t sue us for anything that we have disclaimed or obtained your release from under this Agreement.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law you release Wilderness Hammocking Ltd from any and all claims and demands, as well as any and all damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, reasonable legal fees, and other expenses incurred or suffered by any Wilderness Hammocking Party, of every kind and nature, known and unknown, relating to or arising out of any right, claim, or matter (a) which is disclaimed by Wilderness Hammocking Ltd (or for which Wilderness Hammocking Ltd provides no guarantees) under this Agreement, or (b) for which Wilderness Hammocking is otherwise indemnified or released by you under this Agreement.

  10. Indemnity

    Wilderness Hammocking Ltd is not responsible for any damages and liabilities you incur if you break the law, violate these terms or any rights of third parties and it results in legal action (this also includes misrepresentations made by you and any product liability claims).

    To the fullest extent permitted by law you will defend, indemnify, and hold Wilderness Hammocking Ltd and other parties harmless from any claim or demand made by any third party, as well as any and all damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, reasonable legal fees, and other expenses of every kind and nature, known and unknown, incurred or suffered by Wilderness Hammocking Ltd.

  11. Governing Law

    Any dispute that may arise and any court proceedings shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the the laws of England & Wales & held in England.

  12. Changes to terms & conditions: We reserve the right to modify or update these terms & conditions at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes.
